World PvP Event- The battle for Tarren Mill- 18th September

The Battle for Tarren Mill

As the forces of the Alliance and Horde moved on to Outland and Northrend in search of new adventures and challenges, the once strategical locations of Tarren Mill and Southshore seem to have been forgotten. However, the silence that has engulfed them shall soon be shattered. Familiar warcries will be heard once again. For the Alliance! Lok'thar Ogar! An unexpected rally of troops will bring back the life and the lust for war into Hillsbrad.

On Friday, the 18th of September, starting from 20:30, the Alliance guild <Wardens> will be organising a World PvP Event centered on the classic battle between Southshore and Tarren Mill. Everyone is invited, regardless of guild, skill or level.

The goal of the event will be to defeat the Mayor of the opposing faction, while protecting your own. The Mayor will be a level 80 character of your choice.
Each faction shall organise it's defence and it's attacking forces according to their wishes. You can choose a classic defence around the town, or ambush the opposing attackers along the way. Or both.

To ensure the well-being of the event and the fun for everyone involved, we ask you to respect the following rules:

1. The Alliance will gather up in Southshore at 20:00.
2. The Horde will gather up in Tarren Mill at 20:00.
3. The event is considered started at 20:30. Please take the 30 mins from the gathering to the beginning to prepare your tactics. DO NOT attack the opposite faction during this time.
4. Everyone is asked to wear a Blue Tabard ( one of the 2 PvP tabards or the Stormwind Tabard) if they are Alliance, or a Red Tabard ( one of the 2 PvP tabards or the Orgrimmar Tabard) if they are Horde.
5. Be Fair Play. Please do not "forget" any characters in the opposing faction's Town Hall. If everyone gets a fair start, it will be better for all.
6. The Mayor of each faction has to be found in the Town Hall of Southshore or Tarren Mill. He has to wear some distinctive gear to make him stand out in the crowd of defenders, and his name will be announced on the Realm forums before the start of the event.

How to join the event? Stay updated by keeping an eye on the thread on the Realm Forum and/or The Guest House on https://wardens.bbactif.com , watch the Trade Channel for details and show up in Southshore/ Tarren Mill on Friday, 18th of September, at 20:00.

For more information, contact me ingame or on the forums. A contact on the Horde side would be highly appreciated, to make the event visible on the other side as well, and to get the raid started on Friday.
